Bridging the Disparity: A Web-Based Enrollment Management System to Improve Rate of Application Fee Payments in University Admission
摘要
The Enrollment Management System aims to tackle the challenge of low application fee payments in university admission processes despite high student sign-ups. This gap indicates missed opportunities for institutions and potential loss of bright students. To address this, a web-based system was developed with student and administrator portals. Upon signup, students are matched with counsellors who guide them through the admission process. A key feature is the counsellor incentive programme, where points are earned upon student fee payments, affecting their rankings. An automated communication system via email and text messages ensures consistent engagement, motivating students to complete requirements promptly. Leveraging modern technologies like ReactJS, NodeJS, Tailwind CSS, Stripe, and Firebase ensures scalability, security, and user-friendliness. Implementation of this system anticipates a significant increase in the rate of students paying application fees, bridging the gap between sign-ups and fee payments.
