Point of Care Ultrasound

POCUS is an emerging important bedside tool in the care of sick children. Its utility is increasing across various clinical specialties, but the basic broad aspects used in POCUS remain the same. This includes assessment using abdominal and lung ultrasound, ECHO and fluid assessment, and real-time ultrasound-guided procedures. In this atlas chapter, we highlight some common clinical settings where POCUS plays a role in nephro-critical care in children.
