Experimental Investigation to Evaluate the Performance of Single and Double VT System

This experimental investigation explores the influence of different circuit arrangements of a VT on its thermal performance. A comprehensive literature survey is conducted to review recent advancements in enhancing the efficiency and performance of VTs(VT). The study focuses on enhancing the thermal performance of both single and multiple VTs, considering their cooling and heating effects across a range of inlet pressures (150–550 kPa). Results indicate that the single VT with a brass orifice exhibits the highest thermal performance compared to the multiple VT configurations. Notably, the highest cooling and heating temperatures achieved were 258.2 and 321 K, respectively, with a temperature separation of 62.8 K. This research provides valuable understandings into optimizing the energy separation performance of VT using various circuit arrangements and materials.
