Design and Fabrication of Smart Drip Variable Hight Stand for Medical Application

Managing the liquid levels, whether the patient is stationary or in transit, is a challenging task in drip stand in hospitals. Many patients with certain medical conditions depend on intravenous drips for the precise dosage of their required medications or electrolytes. These convectional drip stands, with a length of approximately 1.6 m, pose difficulties when relocating patients. To address this issue, smart variable high adjustment drip stand is fabricated. Unlike traditional stands, the smart drip stand incorporates a level sensing mechanism to monitor the liquid levels effectively. This mechanism includes a lever mechanism and a proximity sensor, which triggers an alarm whenever the liquid level becomes low. This innovation eliminates the need for constant or sporadic vigilance by nurses and attendants, providing a more efficient and reliable solution. In addition, a folding stand has been incorporated with adjustable length and the ability to be folded down to 0.3 m.
