Review on Design and Modification of Hydrogen-Based Dual Fuel Diesel Engine
摘要
The present study focuses on the development and modification of compression ignition (CI) engines fueled by a blend of diesel and hydrogen. The utilization of hydrogen-diesel blends in CI engines has the potential to enhance energy efficiency, reduce emissions, and improve combustion characteristics. The objective of this study is to identify the necessary design modifications and considerations for improving the performance and emissions characteristics of CI engines utilizing hydrogen-diesel blends. To provide a comprehensive introduction to the paper, a thorough analysis of relevant literature is conducted. This analysis encompasses topics such as hydrogen production, storage, safety considerations, and the impacts of hydrogen augmentation on combustion cycles and emissions. The investigation also covers emission control and combustion stability in relation to injection timing, combustion phasing, and hydrogen-diesel blend ratios. The outcomes of this study contribute to a deeper understanding of the application of hydrogen-diesel blends in CI engines and can serve as a foundation for future engine design enhancements. The findings offer valuable insights into optimizing engine performance, reducing emissions, and increasing combustion efficiency. By implementing the knowledge gained from this study, engine designs can be further improved in order to leverage the advantages of hydrogen-diesel blends in CI engines.
