摘要

One of the most important parts of any vehicle is the braking system. Brake rotors calipers, pads, master cylinder, and brake lines are all parts of a braking system. The rotating part is the brake disc which rotates with the wheel of the rotor. The disc mounted calipers use friction to stop the moving wheels. In this study, the main focus has been on the durability and efficiency of brake material due to the generation of high thermal stress. Thermal analysis simulations were performed on stainless steel (SS) discs such as SS304, SS321, SS 410, and SS310. Moreover, the best static structural analysis of these four materials was also carried out. An ATV (all-terrain vehicles) was considered in this analysis. The materials are selected based on cost and suitability of their properties to the brake disc. The SOLIDWORKS has to use the design of disc and ANSYS workbench to perform static structural simulation and thermal analysis of the disc. According to the results of this study, SS410 outperforms SS304, SS321, and SS310 in various thermal properties, making it an excellent material for brake discs. The measurements of strain, peak temperature, equivalent stress, and strain on a SS410 disc provide insight into the behaviour of the disc.
