Service-Learning in Higher Education in the Age of Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence
摘要
The arrival of artificial intelligence in university classrooms forces us to rethink higher education. While on the one hand, it seems to ease the administrative burden and facilitate teaching, it also opens up debates, especially related to academic integrity and security. Bearing in mind that service-learning is an experiential and critical pedagogical approach, this chapter attempts to raise some of the issues it faces in the age of artificial intelligence. Both generative and non-generative artificial intelligence have not only benefits but also risks. Ethics linked to artificial intelligence is an area of study that should be incorporated into service-learning projects that use this technology. Finally, service-learning must be strengthened in the new university, since learning based on real needs, cooperation, reflection, and critical thinking should no longer be considered just another pedagogy but can be considered a compass with which to navigate these uncertain times.
