Iliopsoas Muscle Impingement

Iliopsoas impingement (IPI) is a postoperative complication of total hip arthroplasty (THA), first reported by Postel in 1975 [1]. The main symptom is groin pain induced by movements such as climbing stairs, getting in and out of a car, sneezing, or coughing [2–6]. Onset of groin pain has been reported to vary and can occur at any time after an operation, which should be kept in mind when patients complain of groin pain after THA surgery.
