CT-Based Navigation
摘要
There is only one CT-based navigation system for total hip arthroplasty (THA) in Japan in clinical use at the moment. This system provides accurate placements in both cup and stem, which results in few dislocations after THA. However, preoperative surgical plannings and intraoperative registration procedures are always complicated and take long time. In addition, the current system is still not perfect, and improvements are needed to achieve more reproducible accuracy and precision. These complexity of preoperative planning and intraoperative procedures, as well as the high cost of purchasing the system, have hindered its widespread use in Japan, and improvements in these issues are desired.
