Direct Anterior Approach (DAA)
摘要
The direct anterior approach (DAA) is a true anatomical approach allowing superficial entry through the intermuscular and internervous planes between the sartorius muscle, innervated by the femoral nerve, and the tensor fascia lata muscle, innervated by the superior gluteal nerve, as well as deep entry through the intermuscular and internervous planes between the rectus femoris muscle, innervated by the femoral nerve, and the gluteus medius and minimus muscles, innervated by the superior gluteal nerve. Total hip arthroplasty (THA) via DAA is performed in the supine position, with or without a traction operating table.
