摘要

The number of total hip arthroplasty (THA) procedures for hip osteoarthritis (OA) has been increasing annually. However, some patients still require revision surgery because of complications, such as postoperative dislocation and implant loosening, and avoiding these complications is an urgent issue. In particular, the frequency of postoperative hip dislocation is still not small, and it is currently the main revision factor [1]. These complications are largely due to the position/angle of the implant, which is closely related to the range of motion (ROM) after THA. Understanding the relationship between the two is necessary to avoid postoperative hip dislocation and to achieve a high level of activity of daily life (ADL) in patients receiving the surgery.
