Predictive Analytics Using Big Data in the Development of Smart Cities

As the world of smart cities is going through a vast transformation of digitization, the need to incorporate Big Data analysis in industries is becoming vital. Even though such systems already exist, it is important to fine-tune them according to the changing needs and patterns of modern-day industries. The transport industry produces a huge repository of data every day but regrettably, most of that data goes to waste as proper research is not performed. Therefore, big data analysis is being focused to help analyze and derive useful interference from these massive amounts of data. The objective of this paper is to explore the sources of generation and utilization of Big Data in the development of smart cities.
