An Edge Server Management System Based on Extended High Availability

With the advance of technology in this recent era, Internet of Things (IoT) devices has been increasing at a rapid pace. Edge computing, which utilizes physically close-to-edge computing resource, becomes popular to cope with the tremendous amount of data transfer to process. However, due to the real-time data processing nature of edge computing, it is vulnerable to hardware/software failure. In our previous work, we designed and implemented an edge server management system leveraging high availability. Therefore, in this paper, we introduce and implement an extended high availability feature to improve our system.
