A Driving Status Based Hybrid In-Vehicle Data Compression Technology

Recently, in the vehicle manufactory industry, efforts are being made to develop stable Automatic Valet Parking (AVP) to deal with various parking environments. However, achieving to complete autonomous parking is limitations with autonomous vehicles due to poor parking lot environment and malfunction of autonomous vehicle sensors factors. To overcome these problems, AVP solutions can be effectively implemented by transmitting autonomous vehicle data to smart infrastructure installed in parking lots. In this paper, we propose a compression method for transmitting large amounts of data from autonomous vehicles to smart infrastructure.
