Spatiotemporal Identification and Quantification of Urban Sprawl Based on High-Resolution Satellite Images
摘要
Nowadays, with the rapid development of society and economy, the unreasonable expansion of cities has seriously affected the ecological environment. Therefore, the government decision-makers need a reasonable method to monitor the urban expansion and realize the harmonious symbiosis between man and nature. This paper studies Xuejiadao scenic spot on the west coast of Qingdao, with an area of 837.83 km2. Using high-resolution satellite images and building calculation formulas, this paper analyzes the change trend and ratio of regional construction works in the urban floor area of Xuejiadao City from 2016 to 2023. The results show that urban architecture is expanding dynamically, causing irreversible damage to the ecological environment. This paper proposes to improve the ecological environment by protecting nature, changing building composition and influencing government decision-making, aiming to achieve a harmonious coexistence of architecture and ecology.
