Gait Analysis with Advanced Wearable and Wireless Systems
摘要
The domain of gait analysis is highly relevant to wearable and wireless systems for healthcare, since they demonstrate the ability to objectively quantify gait characteristics. In combination with machine learning, the ability to distinguish various health status scenarios has been demonstrated. Recent research endeavors have featured conformal wearables in conjunction with machine learning to differentiate hemiplegic gait in the context of the hemiplegic affected leg and unaffected leg. Furthermore, investigations involving conformal wearables and machine learning have been successfully applied to distinguish hemiplegic gait compensatory mechanisms and gait associated subjects, such as reduced arm swing. Additional consideration is applied to wearable and wireless systems that emphasize miniaturization.
