In light of the rapid growth of the global population, increasing the productivity of agricultural systems has become imperative. Microalgae and cyanobacteria offer promising solutions because of their unique properties, making them ideal for a sustainable agriculture and energy production. These organisms can help address the global demand for food, animal feed, biofuels, and chemicals when integrated with traditional crops. This abstract explores the potential advantages of incorporating microalgae and cyanobacteria into agricultural systems and emphasizes the need for more research.
