There are various traditional and herbal medicines available as a solution for the treatment of various disorders such as cancer, diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, rheumatoid arthritis, Parkinson’s disease, and their associated comorbidities. These medicines are composed of various forms such as powder, extract of medicinal plant/s. Authentic information regarding the properties and geographical location of the medicinal plants in a particular region plays important role in medicinal plant research. Thus, many countries are focusing on the compilation and curation of online databases and compendia to serve as a platform for researchers to acquire adequate knowledge with respect to medicinal plants in a specific zone. The present chapter aims to recognize the details of the work carried out by various countries by providing systematic information of the traditional knowledge databases of medicinal plants developed by researchers from different parts of the world.
