A Supply Chain Model of Food Preservation with Partial Pre-payment and Delay-In-Payment
摘要
In every country all over the world, business economy of each food supply chain management is badly affected due to the extreme deterioration of food. So, preservation policy in a food supply chain system is a momentous factor to abate the deterioration upshot. The aim of this chapter is to establish a tri-layer food supply model (supplier–producer–retailer) under preservation technology with delay-in-payment and pre-payment policies. This work focusses on (i) the preservation of food to reduce it’s deterioration, (ii) increase of coordination of the chain to manage their distribution systems, and (iii) maximization of the profit of the manufacturer. Here it is considered that the supplier grants delay-in-payment policy to the manufacturer. On the other hand, it is also considered that the manufacturer imposes partial pre-payment on the retailer to ensure the manufacturing to continuous production and for avoiding interest paid due to delay-in-payment. To interpret and examine the validity of the raised model, a numerical example is deliberated. The considered numerical example is solved by different variants of QPSO—GQPSO, AQPSO, and WQPSO. Finally, sensitivity analyses are accomplished by changing some model parameters to skim the effective conclusion.
