Conclusion

In this chapter, the argument is made that opportunity serves dignity. Transition can present the opportunity for each of Nussbaum’s 10 capabilities to be thoroughly explored in-school and then remain viable in post-school life. This is not to say dignified outcomes must be an absolute outcome. All young adults, those with and without disabilities alike, require genuine opportunities to construct a thriving life of personal priority. Implications of a transition with dignity are here considered.
