International Contexts of School Leaving
摘要
In this chapter, an overview of public education systems in Aotearoa New Zealand and the USA focuses on disability-related services during the culminating school years. Transition functions within each country are then described through available post-school options and services that promote the successful post-school lives of those with disabilities. Lastly, the meaning and nature of disability is examined for both settings, including practical implications for those living and supporting transition.
