Progressing Characteristics of Dart Leaders in Rocket Triggered Lightning Flashes
摘要
The concept of bidirectional leader (BL) propagation that a leader has two ends developing simultaneously in opposite direction with opposite polarity was first proposed by Kasemir in 1960. The dynamics of the two leader ends in terms of the propagation speed can be different. The positive end can propagate faster or slower than the negative end, or the two ends can propagate at similar speeds.
