摘要

Over the last four decades, China has undergone notable transformations in academic research and publishing practices, witnessing significant advancements in both the quality and quantity of academic journals and monographs. This progress has resulted in a substantial increase in Chinese scholars’ global influence. The evolution is particularly evident in the field of scientific journals, which has experienced rapid growth. In 1978, China boasted around 780 scientific journals; however, over the subsequent 40 years, this number surged to over 5100, marking a remarkable 6.5-fold increase.
