Interaction in Chinese Scholars’ Chinese Research Articles
摘要
Academic writing goes beyond presenting facts objectively, involving a dynamic interaction between writers and readers through written texts. Academic writers strategically organize their material to propose a preferred interpretation, simultaneously expressing judgments, attitudes, and commitments. This engages readers in the collaborative construction of the text. This interaction is facilitated by the concept of the “reader-in-the-text”, a voice attributable to the reader, employing interactive resources to guide readers and interactional resources to involve them in the text’s creation.
