The rampant urbanizationUrbanization and enormousHue University economic growth in recent times have impacted the quality of life of people in citiesCity as well as in rural villages negatively rather than positively. Furthermore, these processes have adverselyHue University affected the natural environment and local cultureCulture. Considering the recent situation in Vietnam, the present chapter introduces our challenging projectsProject adoptingHanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) community-based or grassroot approaches toKyoto sustainable developmentSustainable development. The contents include various practices in our projectsProject related to environmental educationEnvironmental education, ecotourismEcotourism with local resources, community development, and local cultural conservation.
