摘要

The study involved embedding a three-dimensional (3D) computed tomography (CT) model into a finite element simulation. The idea is to simulate the state of decay caused by the decayed tooth by preparing a model that represents the actual crown fitting. The CT scan-based model simulation can be utilized as a tool for estimating pressure distribution, according to the study. By using the simulation package software, the dental crown is developed with the Autodesk Mesh mixer, and static analysis is performed using simulation software. With the results of this study, using a finite element model as an alternative method for pre-fabrication and evaluation of crowns will be of considerable interest to fabricators. Following this study, healthcare providers and engineers should be able to simulate the fit and comfort of patients more easily for replacement purposes. The results of this study will contribute to the development of a system to evaluate pre-fabrication in the future. Dentists use this examination to select materials for dental crowns that will be stress-tested.
