Formation of Diffuse Ionization Wave with Streamers
摘要
This article presents the results of studies of diffuse ionization wave (DIW) with streamers during a discharge in low-pressure atmospheric air. The work continues our study of the conditions for laboratory modeling of high-altitude atmospheric discharges, in this case columnar red sprites. Preliminary results obtained using only small-diameter tubes in two setups. In this work, data about the size of DIWs were obtained in a dielectric tube with an inner diameter of 14.2 cm and on the generation of X-rays in pin-to-plate discharge with a gap of 1 cm during a positive polarity discharge in low-pressure air.
