Application of Magnetic Rotating Thermal Plasma Method in Solid Waste Treatment of Fly Ash
摘要
Fly ash is a hazardous solid waste. After plasma treatment, heavy metals are transferred to glassy slag, greatly reducing the leaching rate of heavy metals and achieving the goal of eliminating the toxicity of fly ash. This article conducted a 100 kW plasma incineration fly ash melting experiment in a low vacuum system. The experimental material is the fly ash and the mixture of fly ash and sludge, and the plasma source is a magnetic rotating thermal plasma (MRTP) device., the medium gas is argon, which can make the test object reach a melting temperature exceeding 1500°C within 2 min. The experimental results indicate that the solid waste treated with MRTP presents an opaque vitreous state. Randomly selected experimental samples were tested for element content in the mixture of vitreous water/acid leaching. The results showed that the leaching toxicity after treatment was much lower than the standard limit specified in GB/T41015-2021 “Technical Requirements for Solid Waste Vitrification Treatment Product”.
