Air Pollution in Japan and the World
摘要
This chapter explores air pollution issues in Japan and the world. It reviews pollution problems caused by air pollutants such as sulfur dioxide (SO2) and suspended particulate matter (SPM). The chapter also discusses Japanese air pollution policy measures, including sulfur charges and vehicle type regulations, from an economic perspective. The discussion then moves to air pollution in the world. Household air pollution in developing economies and related issues are discussed in the broader context of SDGs.
