A Simultaneous Multi Transmit Beam Pattern Measurement Approach for Full Digital Aperture

摘要

Full digital aperture has the advantages of flexible beam number, precise beam pointing angle, and strong anti-interference ability. It outperforms analog phased array aperture in terms of simultaneous multiple transmitting beams. The efficient measurement of receiving and transmitting multi-beam patterns for full digital apertures is difficult in the field of digital antenna measurement. Near-field measurement for radiation patterns is an important test method in the field of antenna measurement. This paper proposes an automatic measurement method for simultaneous digital multi-beam patterns based on the existing near-field scanning framework. The digital aperture generates a test channel by itself, and constructs a reference channel that is fully coherent with the test channel, extracts the amplitude difference and phase difference at multiple frequency signals between the test channel and the reference channel, and generates corresponding frequency signals in the scanning coordinate system. Amplitude and phase distributions are sampled and transformed to obtain the corresponding frequency signals and radiation pattern, avoiding the need for additional equipment to achieve multi-frequency point transmit beam measurement at the same time. Finally, the measurement of a 128 digital channels aperture agrees with simulation, which verifies the effectiveness of this method, and provides a new quality capability for full digital aperture multi transmit beams measurement.
