Research on Evaluation of Wireless Network Coverage Effect in Transport Lines Scenarios

With the sustainable development of transportation, the network construction along transport lines has received increasing attention. The network coverage effect of base stations along transport lines is a significant issue. This paper proposes an evaluation method based on transport lines layers and the PostGIS spatial database. Firstly, a method for modified transport lines layers is proposed. Secondly, on the basis of transport lines layers and distribution of surrounding base stations, covered transport lines layers can be obtained by geographical computation. The original length and covered length of transport lines can be calculated and the coverage is given. Areas with weak coverage can be accurately located through geographical display, thereby providing precise data support for network planning.
