Analysis of Oblique Wave Scattering by a Thick Bottom-Standing Barrier Placed in Between a Pair of Thin Partially Immersed Barriers
摘要
The study investigates the interaction of oblique water waves with a configuration consisting of a pair of partially immersed thin vertical barriers on the two sides of a bottom-standing rectangular thick barrier. The eigenfunction expansion method is employed to analyze the system, leading to weakly singular Fredholm-type integral equations. Singularities near the edges of the barriers are addressed using Chebyshev and ultra-spherical Gegenbauer polynomials as basis functions. Numerical estimations of reflection and transmission coefficients are presented, demonstrating excellent agreement with existing literature and validating the theory’s reliability and applicability in practical wave interaction scenarios.
