Serial

Sarah Koenig, who worked as a journalist for the newspaper before founding the Serial, was its founder. It was her story about a lawyer whose license had been revoked that drew the attention of Rabia, a young lawyer of Pakistani descent, whose neighbor, Adnan Syed, was arrested and jailed in 1999 for strangulating his Korean ex-girlfriend, Hae Min Lee, on the testimony of a friend who had “helped dispose of the body”.
