STEM Literacy in Technology Education

The development of STEM literacy is commonly utilized as the outcome of STEM projects; however, despite its common usage, there is little conceptual agreement in the notion of STEM literacy. This chapter reviews disciplinary literacies and integrated STEM literacy before positioning technological literacy as the necessary first step in achieving STEM literacy.
