An English MOOC Answering System Based on Intelligent Algorithms

With the continuous development of information technology, applying artificial intelligence in English teaching can bring a new opportunity for course optimization, and it can also provide a personalized environment and a new intelligent platform for English learning. Meanwhile, most open courses in China rely on the MOOC platform, in which automatic answering is an essential teaching aid. Using question-answering systems to promote the implementation of course auto-answering has become a hot topic in current research. Intelligent algorithms, such as neural networks, genetic algorithms, and simulated annealing, are innovative theories or algorithms often encountered in engineering practices. Applying these algorithms can optimize problems. Hence, this article designs an English MOOC answering system using intelligent algorithms and adopts a method of retrieving, organizing, and managing Q&A through the combination of web and local question and answer databases. It can play a certain auxiliary role in teachers’ classroom teaching, helping students get course-related Q&A in a timely manner, effectively ensuring smooth learning, and improving teaching effects and quality.
