Comparative Analysis of Modular Prefabricated Module Substation and Conventional Substation

With the continuous development of social economy, people’s demand for electricity is rising, the scale of power construction is getting bigger and bigger, and the modular intelligent substation with high efficiency, low consumption and low pollution is favoured by the national grid company. With the advantages of environmental protection, fast construction speed and economy, prefabricated cabin substations are vigorously promoted in modular substations of different voltage levels. This paper compares modular prefabricated cabin substations with conventional substations in terms of construction process, installation and commissioning and economic benefits from the typical characteristics of modular prefabricated cabin substations to provide new ideas for substation construction.
