Design and Implementation of Student Intelligent Attendance System Based on Internet of Things Technology

With the progress of society, the number of college students is constantly increasing, which puts forward higher requirements for school management and teaching methods. Especially in today's student attendance system, there are many problems. Student attendance management is an important component of the intelligent management work structure in universities. In order to solve the problems of low efficiency, high management costs, and excessive reliance on manual management by relevant staff and teachers in traditional student attendance models, this article analyzed the current commonly used attendance methods in universities and summarized the attendance process and work structure of traditional student attendance models. Moreover, based on the Internet of Things (IoT) technology, exploratory optimization was conducted to address the shortcomings of traditional attendance modes, optimize student intelligent attendance systems to meet student attendance needs, and demonstrate the application direction of IoT technology in attendance systems. To verify the effectiveness of optimizing student intelligent attendance systems, this article conducted practical application experiments to compare the effectiveness of traditional and optimized systems. The experimental results showed that the optimized student intelligent attendance system combined with IoT technology had higher data transmission security performance compared to traditional student attendance systems, and the average time spent on report automation generation was reduced by about 15 s. The optimization of student intelligent attendance system in this article has greatly promoted the smooth progress of efficient attendance work through the deep application of advanced information technology and IoT technology. In the face of increasingly large educational forms, it has higher efficiency and effectiveness in dealing with complex student attendance work, promoting the intelligence level of scientific attendance.
