Application of “Fast Speech” Teaching Method in Basic Computer Course

Speaking speed is an important aspect of classroom teaching. Research has found that different speaking speeds will lead to different teaching effects. There is no specific quantitative index for fast speech speed in teaching. At the same time, increasing the speed of speaking will increase the content of the classroom and increase the pressure on students. This study starts from three dimensions of students’ receptive ability, ability to withstand pressure, and comprehension of speaking speed. For the basic course of computer application, this paper study the quantitative indicators of fast speaking rate, quantitative indicators of knowledge points, and the pressure index of students. This paper aims to find a teaching method that quantifies the rapidity of speech according to the characteristics of college students, especially undergraduates.
