The Application of Internet of Things Technology in Smart Home Design Research

摘要

In order to understand the application of Internet of Things technology in smart home design research, the author proposes an application research based on Internet of Things technology in smart home design research. The author first designed a smart home system with STM32 as the main control board, equipped with DHT22 temperature and humidity sensors, MQ-5 combustible gas sensors, BH1750 lighting sensors, and HC-SR501 infrared sensors to collect information about the living environment of the room. The system uploads data to the Alibaba Cloud platform through WiFi wireless transmission and interacts with relevant devices to control the operation of smart furniture devices and regulate the living environment. Secondly, in order to ensure the normal operation of the smart home system and reduce unnecessary energy consumption and incorrect decision-making, the author conducts outlier detection and replacement on the data monitored by various sensing devices. The final result proved that there was an abnormal value in the humidity data monitored by the sensor within 3 min, which was significantly different from the adjacent values and could not represent the true humidity situation at that time. If the threshold set by the smart home is that the system will control the motor to open the window when the humidity exceeds 60%, then when the sensor detects the above abnormal values, the system will make an incorrect decision and the window will open. By processing data over a certain period of time, more reasonable data results can be obtained, reducing the occurrence of erroneous decisions. The smart home gateway system designed in this study helps to further accurately and efficiently control short range and remote home devices, with low cost, high reliability, and easy operation. It can provide certain reference value for subsequent related designs.
