Seed Spacing Recognition Based on Machine Vision and Its Application

When working in the field, because the seed metering device of the fuselage is closed, the operator cannot see the working status of the seed metering device. It is very important to monitor the seeding status of the air-blowing precision seed metering device in real time. In this paper, the machine vision technology is applied to the sowing quality detection of the seed metering machine, and the dynamic process of the seeds moving in the air is directly captured by the charge-coupled device (CCD) camera, and this paper analyzes the moving seed image to detect the seeding quality of the metering machine. Since this detection method directly photographs the dynamic process of seeds moving in the air, it saves most of the information about the movement in the air and can accurately restore the actual process of seeds moving in the air, which greatly improves the accuracy of detecting seeding quality. The actual qualified rate of soybean testing is 96.9%. The qualified rate of machine vision inspection in this article is 96.7%. This paper uses machine vision technology to realize a monitoring method that can not only accurately and reliably detect the distance between seeds, but also realize the automatic control of the seeding process, which is of great significance to the high-quality and high-yield sowing effect of crops.
