Treaty and Law Diplomacy of China

The Department of Treaty and Law is one of the longest established and the most professional departments in the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1949, with the important mission of providing legal support for the diplomatic decision-making of the central leadership, and undertaking the glorious duty of using legal weapons to safeguard and expand the country's sovereignty, security, and development rights. Its mission is sacred and its responsibility is extensive, and its position and role in the overall national diplomacy are becoming increasingly important.
