A Blockchain-Based Model to Enhance the Traceability and Transparency of Drug Supply Chain
摘要
In the recent years, the pharmaceutical industry has witnessed growing concerns regarding the traceability and transparency of drug supply chains. Counterfeit drugs, regulatory non-compliance, and inefficiencies in the supply chain have raised serious health and safety issues. To address these challenges, this research investigates the potential of blockchain technology to enhance drug supply chain traceability and transparency. By creating an immutable and transparent ledger, blockchain can enable secure and reliable tracking of pharmaceutical products throughout the supply chain. This paper presents an implementation of blockchain technology using Hyperledger fabric in the drug supply chain that stores the records of medicines on the blockchain. Further, the centralized drug supply chain and the proposed work are compared. The projected work's outcomes and throughput are displayed in the performance evaluation.
