Enhancing Security of Medical Image Transmission: An Innovative Fuzzy-AHP Approach

The rapid integration of digital health-care technologies with medical information has revolutionized modern health care, especially in medical imaging. This advancement offers unprecedented insights into the human body’s intricacies, but it also introduces challenges in the secure transmission of medical images. Ensuring the confidentiality [TF1], integrity [TF2], authenticity [TF3], and non-repudiation [TF4] of medical images during transmission is imperative to maintain patient care, patient privacy and confidentiality, and data security. This research paper employs the innovative hybrid Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (fuzzy-AHP) technique to enhance the evaluation of transmission techniques, considering security attributes and qualitative factors. The study aims to fortify the security of medical image transmission, focusing on security factors such as confidentiality [TF1], integrity [TF2], authentication [TF3], and non-repudiation [TF1]. By emphasizing the importance of safeguarding medical image transmission (MIT), this paper offers valuable insights into improving the safety of digital health care.
