The agent of sun protection derived from natural ingredients poses minimal side effects. Several new plant-based products that produce less skin irritation have recently been introduced. These bioactive compounds are frequently derived from natural biomass. As a result, it is critical to discover effective sunscreen ingredients with ecologically friendly properties, such as natural polyphenols, tannin, and lignin. This chapter will discuss phenol-, tannin-, and lignin-based sunscreens.
