Study of the Classification Process of Fine Powders of the Hf-Ti-Cr-FeV-N High-Entropy System
摘要
One of the most important tasks in powder technology is the production of fine and narrow-fraction powders of known granulometric composition. To obtain such powders, pneumatic devices called air-centrifugal classifiers are successfully used. The improvement of the designs of such devices makes it possible to increase the sharpness of separation and the efficiency of the powder separation process. Mathematical modeling is an important tool in solving this class of problems and allows you to conduct preliminary research without conducting expensive experiments. The paper presents the results of mathematical modeling of the process of fractional separation of powders on the example of the Hf-Ti-Cr-FeV-N powder system in the separation chamber of an air-centrifugal classifier. The influence of regime parameters on the aerodynamic picture in the separation region, as well as on the trajectories of fine particles, is investigated. It is shown that the participation of particles in pulsation motion strongly influences the process of fractional separation, while turbulent pulsations have a greater effect on smaller particles. The paper presents separation curves, the calculated boundary size in the considered mode was 9 µm.
