Application of Numerical Simulation for Identification of Parameters of Material Behavior Models

  • Andrey E. Buzyurkin

摘要

To select optimal material models implemented in the LS-DYNA program package describing the fracture of the impactor and the barrier during high-speed impact, a number of models were selected to describe the processes of deformation, yielding, hardening and fracture of metal alloys from the extensive array of materials in the LS-DYNA library. To validate the material behavior models incorporated into LS-DYNA, we conducted a simulation involving the collision between a cylindrical impactor and a massive metallic target, configured in the shape of a cylinder. The adjustment of model parameters was executed by analyzing the calculated velocity profiles of the free surface. Comparison of the calculation results with experimental data will allow to correct and refine the parameters of the models.
