Features of High-Velocity Interaction of Various Types of Impactors with Targets in a Wide Range of Impact Velocity
摘要
Experimental study of penetration shell projectiles and rod like projectiles against massive steel targets was conducted. The steel targets was different hardness HB 170 (Low), HB 300 (Middle) and HB 430 (Hi). Experiments have been conducted using an original setup developed in Research Institute applied of mathematics and mechanics of Tomsk State University. The influence of the strength and density of the material of projectiles on penetration was studied with a change in the initial conditions of impact in a wide range. As indicator of mechanism of perforation, a simplex of strength was proposed.
