5-Level Three-Phase Hybrib Multilevel Inverter Based on 3-Leg Inverter and Half-Bridge Modules
摘要
This paper presents a configuration of a three-phase hybrid multilevel inverter (HMI), which includes a standard three-phase 3-leg voltage source inverter (VSI) connected in series with two half-bridge modules (HB) at each phase. The primary objective of the study is to analyze the achievable output voltage levels in this topology. This analysis considers the ratio of the DC voltage supplied to the VSI and 1/2HB modules, which ranges from four to six levels. The main focus of the paper is to propose a five-level control method that effectively utilizes multi-carrier pulse width modulation (MCPWM) techniques to regulate the HMI. In addition, a comprehensive analysis is conducted, which includes a survey of power distribution for DC power. To validate the performance and control strategies of the HMI-VSI-HB system, simulations are performed using MATLAB/SIMULINK.
