摘要

This paper presents the experimental performance results of a novel small dual-stage wind turbine at different speeds. The results confirm its superiority at low wind speeds of < 7m/s, which is consistent with natural wind conditions in most countries around the world. Then, the paper will focus on the investigation of the effect of the distance between 2 stages of the turbine on the electricity generated by the wind turbine at different wind speeds. The results show that with aerodynamic-profile blades, the power of the wind turbine has its minimum values when the distance between the two blades is between 0.2 and 0.25 times the radius then the power increases gradually as the distance between the two blades increases. Whereas, with straight-profile blades, the power of the wind turbine has its maximum values when the distance between the two blade stages is 0.15 and 0.25 times the radius, then the power decreases as the distance between the two stages increases.
