A Controlled Environmental Chamber for Growing Cordyceps Militaris

The aim of this research is to develop a growth chamber for Cordyceps militaris in households or confined spaces in the Vietnam climate. The study achieved the following results: developing a growth chamber for Cordyceps militaris with dimensions of 460×410×830 (mm). The growth chamber has an artificial environment suitable for the growth of Cordyceps militaris with the following parameters: relative humidity 80–90%, temperature 18–22 °C, light intensity 500–1000 lx, lighting time 12 h and dark time 12 h.The results of experimental Cordyceps militaris cultivation showed that: 100% of samples have fruiting bodies, the number of fruiting bodies/sample: 97.3 ± 6.3, the total fresh weight/sample: 54.6 ± 5.5 (g), fruiting body height: 21–76 mm, average diameter of fruiting body: 2–8 mm.
